Irvin A. Gouldner

Irvin A. Gouldner, 81 of Northampton, died peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2018, under the expert care of the staff of Sacred Heart Assisted Living and Family Pillars Hospice, Northampton.

Born September 19, 1936 in Delano, PA, he was the son of the late Albert I. and Sarah (Davidson) Gouldner.  He and his beloved wife Sallie Ann (Weaver) Gouldner would have been married 59 years on May 30 ^th of this year.

Irvin proudly served his country as a Drill Sergeant in the United States Army.  He retired from the Prudential Insurance Company following more than 20 years of service.  After leaving the insurance business, he pursued his lifelong interest in cars by serving as the Used Car Sales Manager for Scott Chevrolet for many years.

Irvin found his greatest joy in his family.  In addition to his wife, Sallie Ann, who he loved more than life, he is survived by his daughter, Deborah A. and son-in-law Michael T. Price, of Northampton.  He took immense pride in his grandchildren, Emily S. (Price) Madas and her husband, Joshua H. Madas, and Timothy M. Price and girlfriend Kaitlyn R. Fehnel.  He is also survived by his daughter, Lori A. Dormann, wife of Steven Dormann, and grandsons Anthony and Daniel Dormann.

Services will be held graveside at 2:00PM on April 17, 2018, Greenwood Cemetery, adjacent from St. John's United Church of Christ, 22 Atlas Road, Northampton, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Center for Animal Health and Welfare, both in care of the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA 18067.
