Jacob Michael Bobko of Northampton, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly on January 14, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital.  He was 15 years old.  Born on March 31, 2008, he was the loving son of Samuel M. Bobko and Janet A. Bobko.

Jacob was a sophomore at Bethlehem Catholic High School.  He had a compassionate heart and was a kind, caring young man.  During the warmer months Jacob could be found catching fish down by the creek or riding his bike endlessly around town.  He had a knack for building things and his quick mind allowed him to easily solve any problem.  Jacob loved Stars Wars, playing Xbox with his friends, weightlifting, building Lego sets, fishing, and spending time with his pets.  On the weekends, Jacob would cheer on the Eagles and Penn State football teams whenever they played.  He had a great sense of humor and a silly side to him that brought joy to those around him.

Growing up, Jacob participated in many sports through the Northampton Athletic Association, such as football, wrestling, and basketball.  He was also a member of Assumption B.V.M. Roman Catholic Church in Northampton, where he assisted as an alter server and attended Sunday School.  Throughout this time, Jacob touched the lives of many and developed friendships that lasted all through his years.  He will be remembered affectionately and missed deeply.

Surviving along with his parents are his sister, Brianna L. Bobko, paternal grandparents Richard and Debra Stock of Coopersburg, PA, maternal grandparents Rowland and Sandra Wallitsch of New Tripoli, PA, as well as many caring aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM up until the time of service at 5:30 PM.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Contributions may be made to Assumption B.V.M. Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund care of the funeral home.
