James M. "Jim" Reilly, 66 of Laurys Station, PA. died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving
family. Born May 31, 1949 in Ashland, PA., he was the son of the late Patrick and Mary (Monaghan) Reilly. He was
the husband of Mary Ellen (Ackell) Reilly, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage last May 17, 2015.
Jim worked in construction for over 25 years with his last employment by Joseph Ciccone & Sons Construction of
Whitehall, PA. as a highway construction Inspector and Manager for 5 years before retiring in 1994. He was a
member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, PA; A former member and volunteer firefighter with the
W. End Fire Co., and former member and volunteer Ambulance driver for the Citizen Fire Co both of Lost Creek, PA.;
He loved fishing and especially enjoyed his family and all of the family gatherings, including the brothers'' poker
nights, and above all spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving along with his wife Mary Ellen are sons, James Reilly and wife Jennifer of Mount Laurel, NJ and Brian J.
Reilly and wife Stacy of Catasauqua, PA, 6 Brothers; Joseph Reilly of Ashland, PA, Anthony Reilly of Frackville, PA,
Patrick Reilly of Ashland, PA, William Reilly and wife Patricia of Mechanicsburg, PA, Robert Reilly and wife Jennifer
of Charlotte, NC and Thomas Reilly and wife Teresa of Macungie, PA, 4 Sisters; Helen wife of Joseph McCoy of
Ashland, PA, Mrs. Patricia Kowalick of Girardville, PA, Frances wife of Eugene Coughlin of Norristown, PA and Irene
wife of Phillip Bradshaw of Yardley, PA; Sister-in-Law; Mrs. Carole Reilly of Ashland, and 4 Grandchildren; Cameryn,
Carter, Aiden, and Austin. He was predeceased by a brother, John Reilly in 2012.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday May 16, 2016 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic
Church-Egypt, 4456 Main Street Whitehall, PA. 18052 with the Rev. Msgr. John Murphy and Rev. Msgr. Daniel J.
Yenushosky con-celebrating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at
Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA. and 9:30am to 10:30am on Monday in the
church prior to Mass. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton, PA.
Contributions in his memory may be offered to Holy Trinity R.C. Church memorial fund C/O the funeral home.
