James F. Perkins , 73, of Kunkletown, PA, died on Thursday, October 2, 2025.  He was the loving husband of Lucy (Smith) Perkins.  They recently celebrated their 31st anniversary.  He was the son of the late Harry and Filomena (Rotondo) Perkins.

James worked for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation in the number 2 machine shop for 46 years and eventually retired from Lehigh Heavy Forge Co.  He was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School.

An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed his time serving as a transportation roadie and soundman for several local bands.  James enjoyed music, sports, puzzles, home gardening, and some good humor jokes.

Survivors: Surviving in addition to his widow are daughters, Jaime, wife of David Catherine of Coopersburg, Erin wife of Nate Scheetz of Huntington, Lindsay Perkins of Summerfield, FL, Melissa Perkins of Ocala, FL, and Breanna Perkins of Kunkletown.  10 grandchildren.  Brother Thomas and wife Marilyn Perkins of Bethlehem.  Sister, Maryann, wife of George Warning of Salisbury.  He was also predeceased by sister, Patsy Rahm.

Service: Memorial Service, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Private Interment.  Call, 1:00-2:00 p.m., Thursday, in the funeral home.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
