Janet A. "Schnecky" Miller, 80, of Northampton, Pennsylvania, died on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at her home.
Born July 21, 1935 in Northampton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Aurel and Catherine (Nederostek) Schneck and wife of the late Willard W. Miller, Sr.
She was a sewing machine operator for the former Fernbrook #5, Northampton, for three years before retiring in 1984. Prior to that she worked for the former Modern Universal Slack Creations for 25 years.
Schnecky was a member of the Friendly 50''s, Alliance Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, former Ladies Shuffleboard, Altar Guild and Candy making group at the church. She also enjoyed needlepoint and cooking.
She is survived by son, Willard W. Miller, Jr., of Northampton, daughter Tina L. wife of Robert Daku of North Catasauqua. Brother, John "Sonny" Schneck and wife Jane of Northampton. Sister, Doris wife of Robert Miller, Sr., of North Catasauqua. Grandsons, Stephen and wife Cindy of Palmerton and Brian and fiance Brett of Whitehall. Great-grandson, Alexander. Nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Grace United Church of Christ, 9th & Lincoln Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. Interment will be at Allen Union Cemetery Association, Northampton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church memorial fund in care of the Schisler Funeral Home, Inc., 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067.
