Jason "Jake" R. Binder

Jason "Jake" R. Binder , 45, of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, died Friday morning, June 16, 2017, in Franklin Township.  Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late James E. Binder, and Mrs. Joyce (Rider) Binder of Lansford.

Jake was a self-employed arborist, operating Jake's Tree Service, Lehighton and Jim Thorpe, for the last 20 years.  An avid hunter, he enjoyed working on cars, and was a member of the Palmerton Pool League.

Survivors: Mother, Joyce Binder.  Maternal grandmother, Jane (Watts) Rider of Mifflinburg.  Daughters, Kelsey Binder of Long Pond, Lynzi Binder, Emily Binder, both of Lehighton.  Sisters, Janney Flora of Turbotville, Jan M. wife of Todd Whiteman of Lehighton.  Brother, Jeffrey Rider, Sr., of Lehighton.  Several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by nephew, Jeffrey Rider, Jr.

Services: Memorial Services, 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2017, at Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Fairview Street, Lehighton, PA 18235.  Call, 6:00-7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.  Officiating will be the Rev. Michael Frost.  Interment will be private.
