Jean E. Andreas

Jean E. Andreas , 90, of 2 ^nd Street, Slatington, Pennsylvania, died Monday morning, June 5, 2017, in her home. She was the wife of the late Karl R. Andreas who passed in 2007. Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Sylvia (Oswald) Kern.

Jean was employed as an operating room nurse at the former Allentown Osteopathic Hospital, for 35 years, retiring in 1987. She attended St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Emerald. She was a 1940 graduate of the Palmerton Hospital, and a graduate of Temple University School of Nursing.

Survivors: Sons, Karl R., II and wife Michelle Andreas of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Jeffrey K. and wife Carolyn of Schnecksville. 4 grandchildren. 2 great-grandchildren. Sister, Dorothea Burgener of Bridgman, Michigan. 2 nieces. 2 nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Keith R.
