Jean M. Christman

Jean M. Christman , 95, of State Road, Lehighton, Franklin Twp., PA, died peacefully Thursday morning, November 3, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital, Carbon Campus, Lehighton.  Born in Weissport, she was the daughter of the late Paul Z. and Carrie E. (Wentz) Christman.

Jean was employed as a supervisor in the customer service dept. of the PPL Electrical Utilities Corp., Allentown, for 35 years, retiring in 1988.  She was a member of Faith Alive United Methodist Church, Palmerton.  A 1944 graduate of the Lehighton High School, she loved animals and caring for her collies, and shelties.  Jean was an avid sports enthusiast, cheering for her favorite team, Philadelphia Phillies, caring for her home and yard, and taking day trips with her best friend.

Survivors: Nieces and nephews, Susie wife of Baron Cebrosky of Palmerton, Mark Jr. and wife Cindy Christman, Gary and wife Julie Christman, and Terry and wife Gail Christman, all of Lehighton.  Several great-nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by nephews, Paul Christman, Ronald Christman, David Christman, and her best friend, Mary Pat Dick.

Services: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview Street, Lehighton, PA 18235.  Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Tuesday in the funeral home.  Interment, Franklin Heights Memorial Park, East Weissport.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
