Jean D. Dorner, 90 of Bethlehem, PA died on Monday, October 15, 2018, at ManorCare Health Services in Allentown, PA. Born January 11, 1928 in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Schierer, Sr. and the late Miriam (Stofflet) Schierer. She was the wife of the late John S. Dorner, Sr. who passed away in 2001.
She was a homemaker all her life caring for her family.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Gail L. Shirk of Whitehall, PA and Diane J. wife of John Gregory of Allentown; 2 sons, Raymond L. Shirk, Jr. of Jackson, NJ and Ronald J. Shirk and wife Jennifer of Palmerton, PA, 8 grand children; 12 great grand children. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Nonnemacher and a brother Frederick Schierer, Jr. and a Granddaughter Michelle Shirk in 1969.
A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA. 18067 with the Rev. Carol Bastin officiating. Interment will follow in Allen Union Cemetery, Northampton, PA. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the funeral home.
Contributions: May be made to the American Cancer Society or Lehigh Co. Humane Society both C/O the funeral
home.
