, 79, of Wind Gap, Pennsylvania, died Thursday evening, April 13, 2017, in her home. She was the wife of the late Lester T. Getz, Sr. Born in Kunkletown, she was a daughter of the late Allen J. and Mildred M. (Smith) Weiss.
Jean was employed by the former Scotty's Fashions Company, as a seamstress. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Wind Gap Post, and the Jacksonian Club, Nazareth.
Survivors: Son, Edward A. Altemose of Saylorsburg. Brother, Robert Weiss of Lehighton. Nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant daughter.
Services: Private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Schisler Funeral Home, Inc., 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, Pennsylvania 18067.
Contributions: May be made in her memory to the charity of one's choice.
