Jean M. Mertz

Jean M. Mertz , 91, formerly of Packerton, PA, died late Sunday evening, November 7, 2021, at Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton.  Born in Mahoning Township, she was a daughter of the late Arthur E. and Arlene F. (Roth) Mertz.

Jean was employed in the packing and shipping department of the former Scotty's Fashions Company, Lehighton.  Previously, she worked for the former Keystone Lamp Company, Slatington.  Jean was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Packerton, and the I.L.G.W.U.

Survivors: Brother, Arthur D. and wife Joan Mertz of Lehighton.  Several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sisters, Shirley Gilbert, and Fern Mertz.  Brother, Glenn Mertz, and an infant brother, Blaine.
