Jean D. Reinert, 92 of Whitehall, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at her daughter Cynthia's residence in Germansville. Born June 17, 1934 in Lehighton, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Edna (Schnell) Gross and wife of the late Ralph H. "Butch" Reinert.
For twenty five years, she worked as an Insurance Service Representative for Miers Insurance Agency, Allentown and prior to that at Prudential Insurance Company, Allentown before retiring in 1999. Jean was a 1952 graduate of Fountain Hill High School and was a 25 year member and past secretary of the Lioness Club. She was a member and an assistant secretary and past president of the Church Women at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Egypt. She was a past secretary for the Egypt Memorial Park for over 25 years and co-chaired the Gross-Schnell Family Reunion.
She is survived by daughter, Cynthia wife of Linn Turner of Germansville, sons, Thomas Reinert of Whitehall, and Jeffery Reinert and wife Cheryl Haas of Laurys Station, brothers, Harold Gross of Allentown, and Nelson and wife Irene Gross of Macungie, sister, Joan Schran of Allentown, grandchildren, Crystal, Kandace, Tiffany, and Tristan, five great great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and four step-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Tommy Guth, III and sister, Kathleen Hottle.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 Am funeral Service, all on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Shepherd Of The Hills Lutheran Church - Egypt , 4331 Main St., Whitehall. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
