Jean M. Shoemaker

Jean M. Shoemaker , 94 of Walnutport-Indianland, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Phoebe Allentown Health Care Center in Allentown, PA. Born March 15, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Mahlon Stofflet and the late Estella (Merkel) Stofflet. She was the wife of the late William W. Shoemaker who  passed away in April 2004.

Jean was a seamstress all her life, last working for TAMA Manufacturing, Northampton, PA for 5 years until retiring in 1994. Prior to, she worked for D-Ville Blouse Co., Danielsville, PA along with many others throughout the greater Lehigh Valley, PA. for over 30 years.  She was a member of St. Paul's U.C.C. Church-Indianland, Cherryville, PA, where she was always willing to help the ladies association with baking.

Survivors: She is survived by her children, daughter, Alice A. Rehrig wife of Scott, son, Wesley W. Shoemaker and wife Valerie both of Walnutport, PA, two grandsons, Michael and Christopher. She was predeceased by 6 brothers and 6 sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday September 15, 2025 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ - Indianland, 787 Almond Road Cherryville, PA,18035. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the services in the church. Interment will follow in Indianland Cemetery, Cherryville, PA. Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, PA is in charge of her arrangements.
