Jean M. Teklits
, 90 of Northampton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 12, 2017, at her home. Born June 11, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Schneider, Sr. and Helen J. (Reppert) Schneider. She was the wife of the late Frank Teklits and the wife of the late Ignatius Pany.
Jean was the owner, and continued to operate the family business, Teklits Roofing and Siding, Northampton, PA for the past 34 years. She also worked as a clerk for the former Hellertown Bakery, Northampton, for many years. A life long-member of Queenship of Mary R.C. Church, Northampton, PA., where she volunteered her time with the Pierogie bakers and Church Festival Committee. She loved cooking and baking.
Survivors: Surviving are sons, James A. Pany and Frank J. Teklits and wife Donna, both of Northampton, PA; daughter, Sally A. wife of Jeffrey Holobusky of Whitehall, PA; 1 granddaughter, Nicole Teklits, Northampton, PA. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Schneider, Jr.
Services: The family will receive friends from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA, 18067, follow by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 AM on Friday June 16, 2017 at Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, 1324 Newport Avenue Northampton, PA. 18067. The Rev. Patrick Lamb will celebrate the Mass. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton, PA.
