Jennifer L. Friedel-Hoffman

Jennifer L. Friedel-Hoffman, 60 of Northampton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, as the result of a motor vehicle Accident.  Born September 8, 1963, in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. Friedel and the late Ilona M. (Herbinger) Friedel. She was the wife of Eric P. Hoffman, they would be married 23 years on July 17, 2024.

Jennifer worked and served many families at the former Friedel family business, The Gourmet Inn, Northampton, PA. Which was well known for many years throughout the greater Lehigh Valley. Jennifer was a 1981 graduate of Northampton High School, who continued her education and earned a bachelor's degree in special education from Kutztown University in 1985. After teaching, she changed careers and became a Flight Attendant, and for the past 37 years, has been flying with United Airlines, based out of Newark, NJ. With her normal route taking her back and forth to India. She became quite a humanitarian, finding homes, jobs, and financially supporting destitute children who married, had families and adopted more children. They would always look forward to seeing her for over 15 years.

Surviving along with her husband Eric, are sons, Henry L. Hoffman of Bellwood, PA and Paul W. Hoffman of Northampton, PA, mother-in-law, Janice Hoffman of Lehighton, PA, sisters, Ingrid K. wife of Nathan Eckhart of Coplay, PA and Sharon L. Friedel of Whitehall, PA., brother, Jeffrey M. Friedel and wife Dina of Pittsburgh, PA, 2 nieces and 3 nephews and a great niece.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, and on Thurs. June 6, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, service to follow. All to be held at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Contributions In lieu of flowers, may be made in her memory, to the funeral home, for the purpose of continuing her aid to less fortunate children in India.
