Joan Puskas (née McIver), 83, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, in Northampton, Pennsylvania. Born on March 6, 1942, in Bayonne, New Jersey, Joan carried with her a deep pride in her Scottish heritage throughout her life. Her roots were a meaningful part of her identity and brought her great joy and connection to Scottish traditions, music, and food.  She especially enjoyed celebrating family events with her cousins when they played live Scotch/Irish music.

Joan dedicated more than thirty years to a career in nursing-a profession she held close to her heart. Her commitment to caring for others left a lasting impact on those she served and worked alongside. During the last phase of her career, Joan worked with geriatric patients, an enriching experience both professionally and personally.

She was predeceased by her husband, Emery Puskas, whose memory remained a cherished part of her life.

Joan is survived by her four children: Dawn Lorenzo, Michelle Lorenzo, Scott Lorenzo, and Bonnie Dingle. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Bridget and Finnegan (children of Dawn), Emily (daughter of Michelle), and Caitlin, Sarah, Ronan, and Mason (children of Bonnie). Her family was a source of pride and love.

May Joan's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
