Joan Landrock Schlegel

Joan Landrock Schlegel, formerly of Bath, PA passed away Tuesday June 1, 2021 at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. She was born in Allentown, June 10, 1933 the daughter of the late Wilbur and Martha (Sandherr) Landrock.

Joan graduated from Fountain Hill High School and Moravian College with an accounting degree, where she was a member of Phi Mu Epsilon sorority. She was employed by Valley Supply, Lehigh Valley Chemical, and the Northampton Area School District. Joan was a longtime member of the Northampton Historical Society. and the Order of the Eastern Star, Calypso Chapter 163, Bethlehem, PA.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Rick Furler) Gray Herman of Coplay, and sons, Bruce (Kathy) Gray of Plattsburgh, NY and Randall (Sharon Burrell) Schlegel of Bath. Sister, Carol (Robert) Esposito of Delanco, NJ, sister -in-law Lorie Dotter of Northampton. Her grandchildren are Matthew (Danielle) Herman, Trevor (Kayleigh Rider) Herman, Martha Gray, Christopher Gray, and Jennifer Schlegel. Great grandchildren are Kayla, Amiya, and Amelia Herman and Graham Dunleavy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Wallace Albert Schlegel, sister, Marilyn Jean Landrock and an infant son Todd Schlegel. She was formerly married to C. Larry Gray.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 5, 2021 at Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street Nazareth, PA 18064. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Friday, June 4, 2021, and 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Sat. 6/5/21 both at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forks Church Cemetery, Easton, PA.
