Joann M. Wasilkowski

JoAnn M. (Barney) Wasilkowski, 66, of Fireline Road, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, Pennsylvania, died Friday morning, August 23, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown.  She was the wife of Stephen J. Wasilkowski since October 25, 1975.  Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Josephine (Swolensky) Barney.

JoAnn was employed as a high school mathematics teacher at Northern Lehigh School District, Slatington, for 19 years.  Previously, she worked in the accounting department of the General Electric Corporation, Allentown.  JoAnn was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Towamensing.  A 1971 graduate of the Slatington High School, she later graduated from East Stroudsburg University.  She was a member of the Slatington Book Club, and the SHS 71' Ladies Group.  JoAnn enjoyed shopping for and collecting antiques.

Survivors: Husband, Stephen.  Daughters, Amy wife of Nathan Peterson of Arlington, TX, Andrea Wasilkowski of Catasauqua.  Son, Michael and wife Erica Wasilkowski of South Whitehall Township.  2 grandchildren, Andrew, and Cora.  Brother, Albert and wife Donna Barney of Kresgeville.

Services: Memorial Services, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 29, 2019 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2915 Fireline Road, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday in the church.  Private Interment.  Arrangements are by Campton Funeral Home, Inc., 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
