John L. Burda

John L. Burda , 83, of Stagecoach Road, Palmerton, Towamensing Twp., PA, died peacefully early Saturday morning, January 28, 2023, at CedarBrook County Home-Fountain Hill Annex, Bethlehem.  He was the husband of Sarah K. (Smith) Burda since September 3, 1960.  Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Paul and Julia (Janco) Burda.

John was employed as a produce manager by the former SuperFresh Market, Walnutport until retirement.  Previously, he worked in the same capacity for the Gorman IGA, Bethlehem, and Two Guys from Harrison, Whitehall.  He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton.  John was a 1957 graduate of the Palmerton High School and a member of the Bethlehem Democratic Club, and the Palmerton Hungarian Club.  He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies Fan.

Survivors: Wife.  Daughters, Kathy wife of Richard Kramer of Allentown, and Julie wife of Michael Jordan of Blue Bell, Montgomery County.  5 grandchildren, Crystal, Timothy, Breanna, Matthew, and Derbe.  9 great-grandchildren with one on the way.  He was predeceased by a son, James, in 1981, and 2 infant brothers.
