John C. Evans

John C. Evans , 86, of South Street, Slatington, PA, died peacefully Sunday morning, June 2, 2024.  He was the husband of Mrs. Patricia A. (Sunderman) Evans since August 15, 1958.  Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Charlotte (Smith) Evans.

John was employed as a foreman in the small appliance division of the former General Electric Corp., Allentown.  Later, he worked as a maintenance supervisor for Lehigh Carbon Community College, Schnecksville.  John was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Slatington, and an over 50 year member of the Slatington Lodge #440, F. & A.M.

Survivors: Wife.  Sons, Todd and wife Winifred of Leesburg, VA, Brian, and Eric and wife Stephanie, all of Palmerton.  5 grandchildren, Vanessa, Valerie, Joshua, Alec, and Brett.  3 great-grandchildren, Lucas, Sophia, and Myles.
