John M. Furbur

John Furbur , 62 of Catasauqua, PA was stricken and died while traveling home on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in Bernville, PA. John was born November 23, 1960 in Allentown, PA, the son of Clyde A. Furbur and Celia E. (Case) Furbur.

John AKA "The V-Max Man" was the Owner / Operator of RM Sport Max, Catasauqua, PA for over 31 years. He was a life long member of The Reading Motorcycle club, Reading, PA. John enjoyed repairing, selling, and trading motorcycles, parts, and accessories. He was an avid biker both motorized and cyclist. He attended Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville, PA. John served his country as a SSGT in the Air Force from 1987 until 1989. John attended and helped with various events at Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville, PA.

Surviving along with his parents are daughter, Alyssa R. Brown and two grandsons, Tristan and Ethan, all of Amarillo, TX; brothers, James Furbur & wife Wendy of Macungie, PA and Peter Furbur & wife Sharon of Allentown, PA.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday July 15, 2023 at Bethany Wesleyan Church, 675 Blue Mt. Drive, Cherryville, PA 18035 with the Rev. Dwight Addington officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM on Friday, July 14 and from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 15 in the church. Interment with military honors will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Northampton, PA.
