John B. Haas, 79, of Quail Drive, Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, died Saturday, April 2, 2016, in his home. Born in Cementon, Whitehall Township, he was the son of the late John J. and Anna (Helko) Haas.
John was employed as a maintenance mechanic for the former Tarkett Flooring Company, Whitehall Township for 43 years. He attended Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Northampton. John was involved in scouting, and served in the PA Army National Guard, achieving rank of Corporal. He was a member of Jim Thorpe Rod and Gun Club, and the Petersville Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors: Sons, Anthony A. of Lakebay, Washington, Brian L. and wife Helen of Weaversville, Pennsylvania, John J. of Allentown, Pennsylvania. 3 grandchildren. Brother, Richard and wife Pat of Northampton.
Services: Memorial Services, 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2016, at Schisler Funeral Home, 2110 Washington Avenue, Northampton, Pennsylvania 18067. Call, 9:30-10:00 a.m. Monday, in the funeral home prior to the Memorial Service. Interment will be private.
