John Matthew Humenik

John Matthew Humenik, 67, died on Wed., April 5, 2017, at his residence in Whitehall, PA. Born on May 30, 1949 in Allentown, PA, he was a son of the late John and Helen (Bonshak) Humenik. He was a 1972 graduate of Kutztown State College and was employed as a teacher at Northampton Middle School for over 30 years retiring in 2005. John was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas.

Surviving are brothers, David A. Humenik of Northampton, PA and Paul J. Humenik and his wife Susan of Slatington, PA; nephews, Paul A. and Craig Humenik; Niece, Angela Cougle and her husband Timothy; great niece, Adalei; and a great nephew, Timothy K.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Tues, April 11, 2017 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church located at 22nd & Washington Ave. Northampton, PA with the Rev. Thomas P. Koons officiating. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery, Northampton, PA. The family will receive friends from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Tuesday, at Schisler Funeral Home, Inc. , 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA.
