John N. Johnston

John N. Johnston , 80 of Walnutport, PA. passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, PA.

Born May 17, 1943 in Stafford, England, he was the son of the late Lester Johnston and the late Colleen (Hill) Johnston. John was the husband of Dolores (Scapiliati) Johnston, whom together shared 53 years of loving marriage.

He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

John received his bachelors degree in science engineering, later to become self-employed as a consultant and engineer for Johnston Design. He enjoyed making wine, playing guitar and the keyboard, reading books of every category. He loved to make his "little inventions", creating unique and creative items. John also was an avid animal lover, having rescued many in his lifetime.

Surviving along with his wife Dolores are sons, Steven Johnston and wife Rebecca of Schnecksville, PA., Richard Johnston and wife Tracy of Albrightsville, PA., John Johnston. Daughters, Irene Post of Walnutport, PA and Lori Johnston of Bethlehem, PA. Granddaughters, Brittany, Cora, Nina, Kayla. Grandsons, Brandon, Rudy, Aiden. Great grandchildren, Bentley and Savanna.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, PA has been entrusted with his arrangements.
