John A. Owens

John A. Owens, 91, formerly of New Jersey, died Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Eleanore (Ferrara) Owens of Mahoning Township. Born in Blackwood, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Charles and Anna Mae Owens.
John was employed as a Master Plumber with the Philadelphia Plumber's Union for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed spending time at the Jersey Shore.
Survivors: Wife, Eleanore. Daughter, Judith L. wife of Robert J. Starrett of Towamensing Township, Carbon County, Pennsylvania. 4 grandchildren: Lisa, Phillip, John, and Kelli. 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter, Carole Riley.
Services are at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by Campton Funeral Home, Inc., 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.
