John D. Schenk

John D. Schenk, 61 of Coplay, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Township surrounded by his loving family.

Born October 4, 1959, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Paul W. and Helen (Kochenash) Schenk.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Whitehall Township for over twenty years before retiring and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Stiles. To know John was to love John, his big heart, contagious smile, and gregarious personality. Susie and John were so blessed to have just celebrated 30 wonderful years of marriage. He was the best father and Elvis fan, which he passed on to his daughter. John will be missed by all.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Stephanie A. Schenk and Sean Davis of Pennsburg, sister, Patricia A. wife of Douglas Sammak of Whitehall, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Michael P. Schenk, and sister, Kathryn H. Shankweiler.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM memorial service, all on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. Interment will follow at the Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery, Northampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund or the American Heart Association, both in care of the funeral home.
