Joseph G. Bauer

Joseph George Bauer, a lifelong resident of Whitehall, PA passed away on October 2, 2021, at age 71.

Born April 15, 1950 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Rudolph Bauer and the late Susan (Cuth) Bauer.

He was a 1968 graduate of Whitehall High School and then attended the Taylor School of Business in Philadelphia until 1970. He was employed by PP&L for 42 years doing construction, working at the record center and Buxmont locations. He was a lifelong racing pigeon flyer with Lehigh Mountain Combine through the Northampton, Mingle and Bangor Pigeon Clubs. He was also a lifelong outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and camping. He enjoyed breeding various types of dogs. He had enjoyed being a pet owner most recently of four Rat Terriers.

He is survived by his son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters and their families along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, all held at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA 18067.
