Joseph Anthony Beck,
79, of Ore Street, Bowmanstown, Pennsylvania, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, October 30, 2018, in his home. He was the husband of Carole J. (Stahler) Beck since August 6, 1966. Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Joseph H. and Josephine A. (Dietz) Beck.
Joseph was employed as a brick layer and stone mason for 44 years retiring in 2003. He attended Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville. An army veteran, he served his country honorably, achieving the rank of SP4 (T), Vietnam Era. He served with the 716th MP BN in southern states helping to control the peace and civil unrest. Joseph was a member of the American Legion, Post #314, Lehighton, and the Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company. Joseph could always be found in his garage fixing things. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need and was a very kind and generous man. He was a skilled stone mason and left his mark on many homes throughout the area. Spending time with his grandchildren was the highlight of his retirement years, and he passed on many skills to them.

Wife, Carole. Daughter, Katherine D. wife of Todd E. DeKorte of Lehighton. 4 grandchildren, Nathan, Eli (Joseph), Jesse, and Aliya. Sister, Cecelia Moser of Lehighton. Brother, Vincent Beck of Battle Creek, MI. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Timothy Joseph, in 1994 and his brother, Henry
