Joseph R. Concilio

Joseph R. Concilio , 80, formerly of Jonas, Polk Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, died peacefully Thursday evening, May 7, 2020, at Preferred Care at Absecon Manor, Absecon, New Jersey.  He was the husband of the late Marie (Congiliaro) Concilio who passed in 2014.  Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of the late Edward and Teresa (Schianno) Concilio.

Joseph was a self-employed HVAC Systems Designer and Engineer for 45 years, retiring in 2013.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton.  After High School, Joseph served his country honorably in the Marine Corps, Vietnam Era.

Survivors: Daughter, Dr. Kathleen E. wife of John Affigne of Pleasant Valley, NY.  Sons, Edward A. and wife Robin Concilio of Kunkletown, PA, and Michael S. and husband Alan Cook of Sicklerville, NJ.  Son-in-law Ralph Carbone of Montclair, NJ.  7 grandchildren, Adrianna, Matthew, Keith, Jillian, Jacob, Aidan, and Lorraine.  Sister, Ann Mogavero of Jackson, NJ.  He was predeceased by daughter, Teresa M. Carbone in 2002.

Services: Due to COVID19 State Regulations, a Private Family Graveside took place.  Interment was at the Sacred Heart Parish's New Cemetery, Stoney Ridge Road, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Arrangements were by Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
