Joseph H. Keeler, Jr., 71 of Whitehall, PA. died Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center in Allentown, PA. Born June 24, 1945 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph Keeler, Sr. and the late Eleanor (McElroy) Keeler. He was the husband of Bonnie L. (Unangst) Keeler, with whom he shared 48 years of
marriage last December 9, 2015.
Joseph was a truck driver for 26 years last employed by Carolina Freight Co., Kutztown, PA. retiring in 1995. A member of the Teamsters Union Local #429 and Local #773 and former Shop Steward for #773; A strong supporter and member of the N.R.A. An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and shooting. He served his country as a SP4
in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Surviving along with his wife Bonnie are sons, Scott J. Keeler of Whitehall, PA; Steven M. Keeler of Walnutport, PA, brothers, Gary Keeler and wife Shirley of Walnutport, PA and Randy Keeler and wife Danielle of Allentown, PA; A Grandson; Tyler Joseph. He was predeceased by a brother, Larry Keeler, and two sisters, Joanne Koehler, Gail Marquis.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday August 17, 2016 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue Northampton, PA. 18067. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
