Joseph J. Matika, 55, of Howertown Road, Northampton, died suddenly early Sunday morning, Sept 30, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Brenda E. (Boddy) Matika since Dec 24, 2008. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Joseph P. and Loretta A. (Frisch) Matika.
Joseph was employed as a caregiver for ARC of Lehigh & Northampton Counties, he also worked for Access Services of Lehigh Valley. Previously, he was employed as a garment spreader/cutter by the former Cross Country Clothes-Botany 500 Group, Northampton. Joseph enjoyed entertaining and was a front man/lead singer of several Lehigh Valley Bands including "Rip Sawz" and "Flak Trakker". He enjoyed writing poetry.

Matika, Karen Matika and companion Daniel Focht, Kristine wife of William Spanitz, all of Whitehall. aunt and uncle, John and Mary (Matika) Daub of Whitehall. nieces, Lauren and Jenna. great nephew, Cameron. sister in law, Linda Boddy of Wilmington, DE. brother in law, Larry Thompson of West Grove, Chester County.
