Joseph J. Nazar

Joseph J. Nazar, 66 of Pittsburgh, PA. formerly of Northampton, PA. died on Friday, April 24, 2020, at Kane Regional Community Living Center, Pittsburgh, PA. Born September 22, 1953 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph Nazar and Mary (Czerkas) Nazar.

Joseph was a 1972 graduate of Northampton High School who went on to earn a Master's Degree in Engineering from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. He was last employed and retired as an Engineer with Boston Engineering, Boston, MA building tunnels. Prior to he worked in the same capacity for Westinghouse in Pittsburgh, PA for 15 years. He was a member of Assumption Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Northampton, PA.

He is survived by cousins, Justine Schubert and Nadine Harbove. He was predeceased by his brother, John Nazar in 2007.

Private graveside service will be held in Assumption Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Northampton, PA. 18067, with the Rev. Oleg Kravchenko officiating. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA. 18067 has been entrusted with his care and services.
