Judith Kay Edwards

Judith Kay Edwards, 70 of Northampton, PA, passed away suddenly Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem, PA, after being stricken at home. Born September 11, 1950 in Linn, KS, she was the daughter of the late Quentin Jeppesen and the late Frances (Rassmussen) Jeppesen. She was the wife of Carl C. Edwards with whom she shared 42 years of marriage this past May 27, 2020.

Judith graduated from Kansas State with a B.S. Degree in Premed, She continued her education earning her Medical Degree from University of Kansas. She was last employed as a substitute teacher for the Nazareth Area School District for 15 years before retiring in 2018. Prior to she taught for the Northampton Christian School from 1975 to 1986. She was a long time member of the Northampton Assembly of God, where she was involved and donated annually to the Child Support program called "Child Hope", and also the native Preacher Support Program.
She was an active supporter of the Allentown Rescue Mission.

Surviving along with husband Carl are, son, Daniel G. Edwards of Slatington, PA, brothers, Jon Jeppesen and wife Marilyn of Spring Branch, TX , sisters, Jo Ann wife of Allen Brightsen of Waxhaw, NC, Janette Jeppesen wife of Ronald Watkins of Sapulpa, OK and Jeri Jeppesen wife of Thomas Haessig of Lancaster, SC; sister-in-law, Darlene Jeppesen, Council Bluffs, IA, and 4 grandchildren, she was predeceased by a brother Gene Jeppesen in 2018.

A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday December 15, 2020 at Northampton Assembly of God, 3449 Cherryville Road Northampton, PA 18067. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM prior to the services in the church. Interment will be private in Avoy Cemetery, Lake Ariel, PA. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA. has been entrusted with her care and services. Friends and family are asked to continue to follow social distancing guidelines, including the wearing of facial coverings.
