Julia E. Kissel

Julia E. Kissel, 91 formerly of Lower Nazareth Township, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Old Orchard Health Care Center, Palmer Township.

Born July 6, 1927 in Bath, New York, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys (Smith) Buchanan and wife of the late Alex Kissel.

She worked as a nursing assistant at Easton Hospital for over thirty years before retiring in 1996. Julia enjoyed crocheting, playing Scrabble and camping with her grandchildren.

She is survived by daughters, Sandra wife of Jerry Hudgins of Allentown, Barbara wife of Curtis Baltz of Bath, PA, Beverly wife of Bruce Mann of Bethlehem Township, Dorothy wife of Jeffrey Bucchi of Bushkill Township, and Janet Kissel, sons, Stephen Kissel, sister Roberta of Bath, NY, 17 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and one greatgreat granddaughter, Madison Alexander. She was predeceased by sons, Richard Kissel, David Kissel and Daniel Kissel.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at the Schisler Funeral Home 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, Pennsylvania. Interment will follow at the Valley View of Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Moore Township.
