June E. Easterday

June E. (Rex) Easterday , 69, of Lehighton, Towamensing Township, PA, died suddenly Thursday, June 16, 2022, in her home.  Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Asa C. and Dolores (Frohnheiser) Rex.

June was employed as an agent for The Hartford Insurance Company, Folgelsville.  Previously, she worked in the HR Department of the former NJ Zinc Company, Palmerton.  June was a member of Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Trachsville.  A 1970 graduate of the Palmerton High School, she enjoyed supporting many of the local animal shelters in the greater Lehigh Valley area.

Survivors: Sister, Joan L. wife of Rick Mertz of Palmerton.  Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was predeceased by sisters, Cindy Rex, Joanne Guedes, and brothers, Terry, Michael, Gary, and Thomas.

Services: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2022, Jerusalem UCC, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville), PA 18071.  Call, 10:00a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Wednesday in the church.
