June Therese Waha

June Therese Waha, 82 of Nazareth, PA, died peacefully in her home on March 14, 2017. Born in Reading, PA
October 30, 1934, she was the daughter of the late August and Hedwig (Keller) Boldt. She was the wife of John
Waha for over 60 years. After graduating from Pennsylvania State University in 1956 with a Bachelor's degree in
education, June worked as a junior high math teacher in both the Reading and Nazareth areas from 1956 to 1961.
She also worked at the Nazareth Pharmacy for more than fifteen years before retiring in 1992. She was a member of
St. John's U.C.C. Church, Nazareth, PA.
One of June's legacies will be her extensive work with the General Federation of Woman's Clubs-Pennsylvania. She
started out in the Junior Woman's Club in 1962. Over the years, June held most of the organization's positions some
of which being the President, Vice President, and Treasurer. Her most recent position had been the Treasurer of the
Nazareth chapter. She was and avid collector of David Winter cottages and Buyer's Choice Christmas decorations.
She loved reading, working on crossword puzzles, as well as needlework.
Surviving along with her husband John, are her two children, son, John Waha II and wife Susan of Bloomington, IL,
daughter, Jamy L. wife of Steve Fulton of Indio, CA, and one granddaughter Nichole Waha, also of Indio, CA..
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday March 21, 2017 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Broad
& Prospect Sts. Nazareth, PA 18064 with the Rev. Jeffery A. Brinks officiating. The family will receive friends from
7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street,
Nazareth, PA 18064, and Tues. Mar. 21, 2017 10:00am to 11:00am prior to the services in the church. Interment will
follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth, PA.
