Karen M. (Smith) Kistler , 67, of Little Gap Road, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully late Saturday afternoon, April 10, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.  She was the wife of over 48 years to the late Terry W. Kistler who passed in 2018.  Born in Lehighton she was a daughter of the late Paul and Edith (Berger) Smith.

Karen was employed as a waitress by the Bake Oven Inn, Germansville, and worked for a number of years at the former Natalie's and Scotty's Fashions, Palmerton, and Little Gap Mills, retiring in 2016.  She was a member of the former First United Church of Christ, Palmerton, and attended BWC, Palmerton Campus.  Karen was a member of the American Legion Post #16, Slatington Skeet Club, and the Diamond Volunteer Fire Company #1, Slatington.  Over the years she enjoyed supporting many charities.  Karen and her late husband loved cruising in their 1974 Chevrolet Model 20 Short Bed Van, and their 1977 Harley Davidson Motorcycle.  She enjoyed star gazing, bird watching, and caring for animals.  A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be terribly missed by family and friends.

Survivors: Daughter, Kimberly A. Kistler of Palmerton.  Granddaughter, Kassandra M. Hertzog of Bloomsburg.  Brother, Vernon Smith of Palmerton.  Goddaughter, Brittany Kistler.  Several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sisters, Sharlene Walper, and Sandra Getz.

Services: Graveside Services, 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 16, 2021, Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Church Drive, Trachsville (Palmerton), PA 18071.  Arrangements are by Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
