Kathleen Murphy

Kathleen Murphy, 75 of Northampton, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021, at her residence. Born December 12, 1945 in Staten Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Dorothea (Olsen) Noonan.

She was the wife of the late Timothy Murphy who passed away in 1974 in the line of duty as an NYPD officer.  Kathy was most recently employed by The Downs at Lehigh Valley, Allentown, PA, where she worked as a teller.

Kathy was a life-long lover of nature and was a member of the Audobon Society and the Nature Conservancy. She also enjoyed bird watching as well as being an amatuer photographer.

Surviving are son, James N. Murphy and companion Lisa McDonald of Northampton, PA, daughter, Erin C. Murphy-Mohring of Northampton, PA, grandson Matthew Mohring and fiance Shelby Noyes, granddaughter, Megan Mohring. great-granddaughter McKenna Mohring. She was predeceased by son, Timothy Michael Murphy, sisters, Patricia- Ann Bruno and Dorothea Melon and her life partner James Conti.

Services will be announced at a future date. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA, 18067, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
