Kathleen L. Williams

Kathleen L. (Kuntz) Williams, 92 of Main Street, Catasauqua, died suddenly late Saturday afternoon, May 8, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late George F. Williams, Jr. who passed in 1968.  Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Ralph B. and Katie A. (Smith-Tidabock) Kuntz.

Kathleen was teacher/instructor at the former St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Catasauqua, children's daycare and pre-school. Previously, she taught elementary education for the Northern Lehigh School District, and was instrumental in starting Slatington's first kindergarten. Kathleen was a 1947 graduate of the Northampton High School, a 1950 graduate of the Kutztown State Teachers College, and finished her graduate work at Lehigh University. She was a member of Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Catasauqua, and was a member of the former St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Catasauqua. An avid life member of the Girl Scouts, St. Paul's Church, Catasauqua, she volunteered as camp counselor at Mountain House, South Mountain, for many years. Kathleen was a member of the Catasauqua Women's Club, and the A.A.U.W.

Survivors: daughters, Carole D. Henning, and Colleen B. Williams, both of Catasauqua. grandchildren, Bailey and Crosley. brother, Donald Kuntz of Lehigh Twp. She was predeceased by brother, Warren Kuntz.

Services: Private Family Graveside Services. Interment, Allen Union Cemetery, 4th and Main Streets, Northampton.
