Kathy A. Szerencsits, 56 of Northampton, PA. died Friday, August 26, 2016, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown,PA. Born April 17, 1960 in Allentown, PA., she was the daughter of the late Ronald B. Updegrove and the late Catherine H. (Fota) Updegrove. She was the wife of Jeffrey L. Szerencsits, with whom she shared 20 years of
marriage last December 31, 2015.
Kathy was employed by Sacred Heart Hospital , Allentown as a billing clerk for 18 years until retiring in 2014. Prior to she worked for the former Cement National Bank, Northampton, as a customer service representative for many years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Coplay, PA. Kathy enjoyed reading.
Surviving along with her husband and sister are 2 step-sons; Jeffrey Szerencsits and wife Sulia of Whitehall, PA. and Wayne Szerencsits and Cory of Orwigsburg, PA.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday August 30, 2016 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA. 18067., with the Rev. Timothy Boyer officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the services.
Interment will follow in Allen Union Cemetery Association, Northampton, PA.
