Keith K. Bird

Keith K. Bird , 70 of Northampton, PA, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at his home. Born September 21, 1954, in Allentown, PA, He was the son of the late Elmer Bird, Sr. and Renae (Schneeberger) Bird. Keith was the husband of Meredith Poindexter-Bird with who he just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this Sept. 22, 2024.

Keith was a Mechanical engineer for 35 years last employed by F.L. Smidth, Inc., Bethlehem, PA. before retiring in 2015. He earned his bachelor's degree in engineering from California Coast University, Santa Ana, CA. Keith was a member of Emmanuel Evan. Lutheran Church, Bath, PA and the Lehigh Valley Historical Society, Allentown, PA. He was a Master Mason with The F. & A. M. Chapman Lodge #637, Northampton, PA. He was also a 32-degree Mason with the Lehigh Consistory, Valley of Allentown, Allentown, PA, and a Member of the Rajah Temple, Reading, PA.

Surviving along with his wife are daughter, Katrina G. wife of Mark Fiorino of Allentown, PA, brother, Elmer Bird Jr. and wife Francine of Danielsville, PA, sister, Wanda wife of Ben Trautman of Bath, PA, a granddaughter Shea, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Terry Bird.

A Funeral Service will be a held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday October 1, 2024, at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive Bath, PA 18014. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Schisler Funeral Home, Inc., 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA 18067, and 10/1/24 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to services in church. Interment will follow in Valley View of Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Bath, PA.
