Kenneth A. Moyer

Kenneth A. Moyer , 75 of Northampton - Lehigh Twsp., PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown, PA. Born , February 14, 1949 in Northampton, PA, he was the son of the late Harold A. Moyer and the late Ruth A. (Schaffer) Moyer. He was the husband of Marie A. (Kratzer) Moyer with whom he shared 36 years of marriage this past October 31, 2023.

Kenneth was a 1968 graduate of Northampton High School who went on to further his education at the Bethlehem Vocational-Technical and Northampton Community College. He also completed several Civil and Mechanical Technology Programs. Kenneth had a 36 year career with Metropolitan Edison Co., Easton, PA. in various capacities, Substation Technician and Electrical Lineman until retiring in 2021. Prior to he worked as a Machinist for Bell & Howell, Inc. of Allentown, PA, the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. both in Easton and Bethlehem. The Neptune Chemical Pump of Lansdale, PA, and Mack Trucks of Allentown, PA. He also transported various liquid chemicals, freight, and steel for Roadway Express, Inc. of Tannersville, PA and the former Matlack, Inc. of Northampton, PA. Ken was a member of the Palmerton Congregation of Jehovah Witness, Slatington, PA, member of the I.B.E.W. Union, Allentown, PA. He loved electrical work, carpentry, and home remodeling. He also enjoyed teaching people about the Bible's hope for a paradise earth under God's Kingdom Rule with no stress or suffering.

Surviving along with his wife Marie are daughter, Jeneane A.M. wife of John "Jack" Clark of Kissimmee, FL, sisters, Kathleen A. wife Kevin Achey of Allentown, PA, Grayell K. wife of Eric Andrews of Santa Rosa, CA and Marysce Y. wife of Theodore Pine of Boyertown, PA. 3 step-sons, James, Timothy, Michael and wife Lisa all of Northampton, PA, and 2 step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Jay F. in 1993 and Gerald E. and Leonard E. in 2013.

A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday April 14, 2024 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM prior to the services. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
