Kenneth P. Yost

Kenneth P. Yost, 80 of Northampton, PA died on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, PA. Born March 17, 1939 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Wilson and Arlene (Schmoyer) Yost. He was the beloved husband of Kay (Hughes) Yost with whom he shared over 52 years of marriage.

Kenneth was a 1958 high school graduate with automotive studies from Votech at Allentown High School. He worked as a mechanic for Penske Truck Leasing in Allentown, PA for 38 years before retiring. He continued to work in retirement at US Security Associates, Inc. as a security guard. Kenneth served his country honorably in the United States Army as a PFC during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He enjoyed camping at Evergreen Lake. He was a NASCAR fan and once had the opportunity to drive a NASCAR race car around the Pocono Raceway. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Surviving along with his wife are daughters, Kimberly A., wife of Richard Landis of Allentown, PA and Karen L. Yost of Northampton, PA, sisters, Althea Smith of Allentown, PA, Roberta McClanahan of Easton, PA, Marion Shook of Catasauqua, PA, Marsha Yost-Peterson, wife of Daryl of Bethlehem, PA and Cindy Yost, grandchildren, Stephanie, Thomas and Jeffrey and great-grandchildren, Daniel, Josiah and Gianni. He was predeceased by brother, Charles Yost and sister, Darlene Conger.

A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Schisler Funeral Home, Inc. located at 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, Pennsylvania 18067. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson's Foundation or Alzheimer's Association, both c/o the funeral home.
