Kurt M. Hittinger, 56, of Northampton, died Friday afternoon, May 20, 2016, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Pamela L. (Henry) Hittinger with whom he shared 6 years of marriage last July 4, 2015. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late J. Neil Hittinger and Mrs. Elaine Lentz of Whitehall.

Kurt was a 1977 graduate of Northampton High School, where he enjoyed playing varsity football. He went on to serve his country in the Marine Corps for 21 years achieving the rank of GYSGT. Kurt was employed as a forklift operator for Nestle Waters, Breinigsville, PA. He was an active life member of both the VFW Post #7293, Egypt, Whitehall Township, the American Legion Post #3739. Hokendauqua, member of the Marine Corps League #284, Bethlehem, the Fleet Reserve Association, Trout Unlimited, Hokendauqua Chapter, and an avid outdoorsman and bass fisherman. He was a strong supporter on all Veteran organizations, and the Toys For Tots Program.

Survivors: Wife, Pamela. Mother, Elaine Lentz. Daughter, Kristian K. Hittinger of San Francisco, California. Sister, Karla of Magungie. Brothers, Keith N. and wife Stephanie of Chandler, Arizona, Kevin L. and wife Mary of Walnutport, PA, Kent M. of Laury''s Station, PA. Niece, Amara. 2 Nephews, Cody and Zachary.

Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, Pennsylvania 18067. Call, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 and 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Friday, in the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors, Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania.

Contributions may be made to the Marine Corps League, Bethlehem Detachment or Project Healing Waters, both c/o the funeral home.
