Larry L. Borger , 79, of Forest Inn Road, Aquashicola, Lower Towamensing Township, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday evening, August 10, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Mrs. Nancy E. (Olsommer) Borger. Born in Fiddletown, Eldred Township, Monroe County, he was a son of the late Sterling D. and Pauline J. (Borger) Borger.
Larry was employed as a heavy equipment operator by the Eureka Stone Quarry, Stroudsburg and Daleville. He was a life-long farmer working with his fathers dairy farm, and later general farming. Larry was a 1960 graduate of the former SS Kresge Polk Township High School, where he was a member and past president of the Future Farmers of America. He was a member of Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Trachsville, the Kunkletown Beagle Club, and both the Grundsau Lodsch Nummer Elfe and der Feierlein in Karbon Kaundi, Nummber Sexa on da Pohopoco Grick, Monroe Kaundi. He enjoyed bowling at the former Zinc Bowl, Palmerton, deer hunting, woodworking, and his John Deere Tractors.
Survivors: Wife, Nancy. Daughters, Donna L. wife of Albert Serfass, Bonnie L. wife of Terry Rennig, Linda M. wife of Mitchell Kleintop, all of Palmerton, and Tammy L. wife of John Colona of Maine, NY. Son, Curtis K. and wife Cathy Horn of Palmerton. 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Sisters, Barbara wife of Marvin Borger of Kunkletown, Judy Borger of Palmerton, and Carol wife of Kerry Gougher of TN. Sister-in-law, Anita Borger of Kresgeville. Niece and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Roger.
Services: 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 16, 2021, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071. Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Monday in the funeral home.
