Larry L. Jones

Larry L. Jones, 82 of Northampton, PA, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth, PA. Born June 29, 1943, he was the son of the late Roy Jones and the late Evelyn (Shellhammer) Jones. Larry was the husband of Jean (Norton) Jones, with whom he shared 61 years of loving marriage.

After graduating from Frackville High School, Class of 1961, Larry entered the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He earned the rank of Airman First Class, before being honorably discharged in 1966. Larry worked for Lucent Technologies as a Data Technician for 37 years. As he phased into his retirement, he worked at Saucon Valley Country Club as a greens keeper for 5 years before officially retiring. In his younger years, he had a deep love for Asphalt Modified Auto Racing. Larry was the Pit Crew Chief, and his team raced at Nazareth, Mahoning, and Dorney Park Speed Ways.

Surviving are daughter, Nicole O'Donnell and husband Kevin of Queen Creek, AZ, grandchildren Colin O'Donnell and wife Kasey of Northampton, PA, Rylee O'Donnell of Northampton, PA, Brady O'Donnell of Queen Creek, AZ., brother, Lester Jones of Reading, PA.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00PM on Sunday April 12, 2026, at Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, PA. The family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00PM up until the time of service.
