LaRue Helen Peters was a caring and fun-loving daughter, mother, grandmother, wife, and friend.  She left this world, at age 83, to spend eternity with Jesus on January 28, 2022.  LaRue showed her faith in Jesus by facing life's challenges with determination and a smile.

She was born to Allen and Helene Peters on March 15, 1938 in Philadelphia.  After graduating high school, she later graduated from the Philadelphia School of Modeling, and pursued a career in professional singing and modeling. In her 20's, LaRue was highly sought after for her beautiful soprano voice as a paid soloist for many churches in Philadelphia.  She also applied her singing talent to local musical theatre productions at the Academy of Music and Civic Theater in Philadelphia.  During that time, she met her husband, and together they had four children, Ann Gallagher, Todd Berry, Jill Tutka, and Lee Farr.  She had nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, as well as a brother, Dr. Stanley F. Peters, and sister June Henofer.

LaRue loved animals, and they loved her. She enjoyed volunteering in church, and in hospitals to serve others with her time and her smiles.  She continued to maintain in singing skills well into her 60's.  In later years, she enjoyed traveling, playing games, and spending time with family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service was held at The Chapel at Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA.  The graveside services will take place at a later date with her immediate family only.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Garden Spot Village Benevolence Fund, 433 S. Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, PA 17557.
