Larue S. Schaffer

LaRue S. Schaffer , 84 of Coplay, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Complete Care at Lehigh Center, Macungie.

Born July 25, 1938 in Coplay, she was the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Alta M. (Kern) Blose.

She was a secretary for Superior Court Justice Donald E, Wieand, Sr. for many years before retiring. Much of LaRue's life was spent loving many pets. From dogs and horses to a befriended chipmunk "Chippy," LaRue lovingly cared for them all; especially her beloved dog "Marty," her most cherished companion.

Survivors: nieces, LeeAnne Englert of Doylestown, and Tammie L. wife of Kerry A. Lewis of Catasauqua, and, nephew, Tim Blose of Phillipsburg, NJ, cousin, Sally A. McGinley of Coplay, and best friend, Claire Spess of Coplay. She was predeceased by sister, Betty Lou wife of the late Paul Englert, and brother, Thomas W. Blose

Services: A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Schisler Funeral Home, Inc. located at 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, Pennsylvania, 18067. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, also at Schisler Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Coplay Cemetery, Coplay, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animals in Distress in care of the funeral home.
