Launa K. Miller, 78 of Bath-Moore Twsp, PA passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her family. Born February 28, 1940 in Bowmanstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Matthew H. and Orba (Rehrig) Nicholas. She was the wife of the late Larry L. Miller who passed away in 1998.
Launa was an Optician for 19 years for various Optical facilities in Lehigh Valley before retiring in 1998. She was a member of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bath. She was a former Youth Group Adviser for her church and she enjoyed helping out as a greeter and usher. Launa also served as a Sexual Abuse Counselor at the Northampton CO. Survivor Center in Easton, PA for 8 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherri-Lee, wife of Gary Yurasits of Bath, PA, grandsons, Tyler and Joshua Yurasits of Bath, PA; She was predeceased by a son, Terry L. Miller who passed away in 1980 and a sister, Dyan Bassler in 2011.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive Bath, PA. 18014. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service in the church. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall, PA. Arrangements are under the care of Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue.
