Lawrence A. Fifield

Lawrence A. Fifield, 75, of Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, Pennsylvania, formerly of Westminster, Maryland, passed peacefully early Friday morning, July 17, 2026, at home.

He was the husband of Janet N. (Bowman) Fifield, who he married on August 26, 1972 in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he was a son of the late CWO Gilbert L. and Marion E. (Danforth) Fifield of Mechanic Falls, ME. He grew up in Baltimore, MD; Army Chemical Center in Edgewood, MD; and Havre de Grace, MD.

Larry was employed as Director of IT for MARCOR Environmental Corp., Hunt Valley, MD for over twenty years. He enjoyed road trips with Janet to Maine, historic places, trains, and battleships, playing with grandson Jake, golfing with friends Bill, Alex, and Gary, wood-working, model railroading, classical music, and making home improvements.

Larry is survived by his wife, Janet; daughter, Rebecca L. Fifield, wife of Luis Vidal of Fishkill, NY; son, Patrick L. Fifield and partner Rebecca Michaels of Broadview Heights, OH; grandson, Jake Vidal; sister, Janet, wife of Frederick Rentz of Bear, DE; brother, Daniel and wife Jeanie Fifield of Jacksonville, FL; brother-in-law Ross Bowman and wife Lindsay of Forest Hills, MD. He was predeceased by a brother, David.
